Cookie Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026. This page explains what cookies are, which ones ConcretePlanner uses, and how you can control them. Our calculators work fully even if you block cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They help sites remember things between pages, stay secure and understand how visitors use them. Some cookies are deleted when you close the browser (session cookies) and others stay for a set period (persistent cookies).
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working and secure. Our server setup uses cache and security cookies so pages load quickly and the site can tell real visitors from automated abuse. The site cannot function properly without this type, and they do not track you for marketing.
Analytics cookies
When analytics is active, cookies may be used to count page views and calculator use in aggregate, for example which tools are used most. This helps us fix confusing numbers and improve the tools. The reports we see are summaries, not individual visitor profiles.
Advertising cookies
When advertising is enabled on the site, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non personalized. You can manage Google ad personalization in your Google account ad settings.
Affiliate cookies
Some pages link to retailers with affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer may set a cookie so a purchase can be credited to us. These cookies are set and controlled by the retailer, under the retailer privacy policy, and they never change any calculator result.
Cookie types at a glance
| Type | What it does | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, load balancing and page caching | Session to 1 year |
| Analytics | Aggregated page and calculator use counts | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising | Ad serving, frequency limits and measurement by ad partners | Set by the partner, often up to 13 months |
| Affiliate | Crediting purchases made after an affiliate link click | Set by the retailer |
How to control cookies
Every modern browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies. In Firefox, open Settings, then Privacy and Security. In Safari, open Settings or Preferences, then Privacy. In Edge, open Settings, then Cookies and site permissions. The site aboutcookies.org explains the steps for each browser in detail. Blocking cookies will not stop any calculator on this site from working.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change in an important way, this page will be updated with a new date at the top.
